Richard Tognetti and ACO Concert Round Up

On Monday the 18th of January 2016 lucky locals and holiday makers were treated to a unique experience at The Orchards Niseko as they experienced a delightful hour of classical music performed by six members of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, led by Richard Tognetti.

Nearly 60 people came by to absorb an incredible hour of world class music. The group of six featured Richard Tognetti, Satu Vänskä and Aiko Goto on violin , Alexandru-Mihai Bota on the viola, Julian Thompson playing the Cello and Maxime Bibeau on the double bass. The music on the night was amazing and everyone in attendance thoroughly enjoyed it including MnK Concierge, Chau who said "The performance gave me goosebumps and was incredible! Especially for someone who had never seen a string performance live before."

The evening was unique as the audience was afforded the opportunity to see and hear what the musicians do in an intimate setting – and feel the music. It really was a feast for the senses and the acoustics in the Multi Purpose Space were well suited to hear the subtleties of the performance.

Led by the gregarious Artistic director of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Richard Tognetti, the music charted classics from Bach and Vivaldi as well as more contemporary pieces, with varied tempos and even included some singing from Satu Vänskä.

The musicians met everyone afterwards in a casual atmosphere with some drinks and nibbles and they were great down to earth people who the audience really enjoyed talking to. MnK warmly thanks the ACO for such a delightful hour and an unforgettable new experience in Niseko!
