Niseko, a town situated near a dormant volcano, and surrounded by mountains. Picturesque? Of course. Now, add some of the world’s most incredible, consistent powder snow to the equation and you have a destination unlike any other that quickly garners the attention of many, like snowboarders, skiers and photographers.
The team at Hokkaido Core Snow Sports know this, and are keen to see the spotlight stay on Niseko a little longer. With the help of Powderlife Magazine, and support of Icelantic Skis, the 2017/18 Niseko Shootout Photo Contest is born. The end goal is to seek the season’s best, uniquely Niseko ski and snowboard photograph, with the winner receiving a pair of sold out Icelantic 17/18 Nomadic 105 LITE skis (valued at $749 RRP).
