Each of the standalone homes is furnished with modern creature comforts, from wi-fi internet and flat screen TV’s to fully equipped kitchens and centralised heating. There are views of Mt. Yotei, Mt. Niseko-Annupuri or the tranquil forest surrounding the resort depending on your chalet choice and plenty of room for the kids to play or groups to relax after a day outdoors.

Sitting at the entrance of The Chalets sits Bistro Côté Jardin an authentic French restaurant that serves amazing dishes made with a mix of imported delicacies and the fresh produce of Hokkaido.

From meeting you upon arrival in Niseko, to helping you settle into your chalet, ensuring everyone is getting up to the slopes or home from an evening out; our resort host team are on hand throughout the day and into the evening to ensure that you are looked after on your holiday.

For all our winter guests this also extends to our Winter Ski Shuttle, booking in your winter activities and being a resource for information on things to do in the area.

The summer months offer a host of activities and in addition to providing helpful information which is detailed here, our team will also be there to prepare your chalet and check you in.

Where are The Chalets at Country Resort?

Country Resort is located in the "South Village" area of Hirafu, about 5-7 minutes from the centre of the village and Grand Hirafu ski slopes.  

Is there a bus to the ski slopes?

GRAND HIRAFU
In winter, Country Resort runs a complimentary loop shuttle for their guests. The shuttle runs between 8AM and 10PM, and stops (if needed) in front of your chalet and in front of the main lifts in Hirafu.  

NISEKO VILLAGE & ANNUPURI
The slopes of Niseko Village and Annupuri are about a 20 min drive from Country Resort. For guests who do not have a rental car, you can hop onto the Niseko United Shuttle departing from Hirafu Village. This bus has a fee associated with its service, however, if you hold an ALL-MOUNTAIN LIFT PASS, you can use this in replacement of the bus fee.  

HANAZONO
Hanazono is approximately a 30 min drive from Country Resort. The Hanazono free loop bus has bus stops all around Hirafu Village. Guests can board the Hanazono loop at any of these stops.

Where is the closest convenience store?

The closest convenience store is SeicoMart, located at 5-7 minutes drive from Country Resort. Our complimentary shuttle stops at SeicoMart.

Where is the closest supermarket?

The closest supermarket is the Niseko Supermarket & Deli, about a 5-7 minutes drive from Country Resort. It is located within the Shiki building. The next closest major supermarket is MaxValu, located at the edge of Kutchan Town.

Can I BBQ at the chalet? (summer only)

There is enough space in front of each chalet to use a BBQ set. However, even in the event of rain, bringing the BBQ inside the house is strictly forbidden. Most chalets have a covered balcony.

What is included in the BBQ set? (summer only)

A BBQ set is 2,500 yen per night. It includes 3 kilos of charcoal, fire starter, lighter, the BBQ, a grill, charcoal tongs, and disposable chopsticks.

Can I park my car in front of my chalet?

Each chalet has a parking space in front of the house for up to 2 cars. Some of our chalets have a garage. Please enquire with the reservations team on which chalets have garages. Parking is free for our guests.

Is there a restaurant in country resort?

Yes. Bistro Cote Jardin serves delectable French cuisine and is open for lunch* and dinner. *Summer season only

Are there any restaurants nearby?

There are restaurants in Hirafu of various styles: Japanese, French, Italian, Mexican, Thai and much more!

Is there an onsen (hot spring) in the resort?

There is no onsen on the estate of Country Resort. However, there are many close by. Our staff can provide you with more information upon your arrival. We can also organize an onsen tour! (Please see guest services section for more info)   The closest onsen is located between 5 and 10 minutes drive in Hirafu Village.

Is there a swimming pool?

Unfortunately, there is no swimming pool at Country Resort. However, there is a 25m indoor pool at the Niseko Alpen Hotel, in Hirafu Village.

Are there tennis courts? (summer only)

There are tennis courts for hire in Hirafu Village at Sunsports Land, by the traffic lights. There are free courts in Kutchan Town.

Is there air conditioning?

While, there isn’t any air conditioning in the chalets, each chalet is furnished with pedestal fans. However, with the Hokkaido summer, our chalets stay cool and fresh, so you should be able to sleep with the windows open! This also lets you enjoy the noises of the forest, or of the nearby stream

Can I send my luggage with takkyubin (courier service)?

Yes, you can send your luggage through Takkyubin. However, please indicate your name and your booking number on the shipping slip.

GETTING HERE & AWAY

How far away is the airport?

New Chitose Airport (CTS) is between 2-3 hours drive away depending on traffic and weather conditions.

How far away is Sapporo City?

Sapporo City is a 2-21/2 hour drive away from Niseko. It is about 40 minutes drive from New Chitose Airport.

Can you organise transportation?

Yes. We certainly can organise transportation for you, be it a private transfer service, shared coach or a self-drive hire car. Please note that prior booking is required. For our guests visiting during the busy peak periods (Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year), we advise you reserve as early as possible.

Do I need any special permit to drive in Japan?

Yes. In addition to your normal drivers license, you will need to produce a valid International Drivers Permit (a 1949 Geneva Convention version) in order to collect and legally drive a vehicle in Japan. For further info, simply click here.

Can you come to pick me up at the train or bus station?

WINTER
For our guests who have booked their scheduled coach transfers through MnK, a complimentary transfer service will be waiting for you at the Hirafu Welcome Centre.   Transfers from JR Hirafu Station, JR Kutchan Station, and JR Niseko Station may be arranged for arrivals before 10pm.* 

*Please note that prior notification of train arrival time to the concierge team is required. Please contact our reservations team for more information.

SUMMER
A complimentary pick up service from the Hirafu Welcome Center and JR Hirafu station for arrivals before 6pm. Charges apply for pick ups from JR Kutchan Station and JR Niseko Station.

What are my transport options if my flight arrives after 8:30pm?

The last scheduled coach departs CTS at 9:30pm. Domestic flights arriving at 8:30pm, or earlier, will be able to match this service. International flights will have to arrive by 8:00pm to make this service.   If your flights will arrive later than the above times, we strongly recommends to pre-book a private transfer.

SERVICES & FACILITIES

Should we pre-book lessons?

As we want you to have a stress free holiday, we highly recommend for you pre-book any ski or snowboard lessons.   Please note that peak seasons fill up very quickly, and that lessons should be booked as soon as possible.

How often is cleaning?

As all MnK properties are self-contained, daily cleaning is not included in the rental price. For bookings of 5 nights or more there is a scheduled clean once every 3-4 days (excluding monthly stays). Should you require more than this, you may request extra cleans at an additional fee.

Can you book restaurants for me?

Unfortunately, we do not provide this services as the restaurants in the Niseko area have their own individual cancellation policies and charges, they prefer to liaise with their diners directly to ensure all the details of the reservation are correct.   Restaurants count on the busy winter to make their living and as many are small, want to make sure that they avoid any reservation mistakes that could result in double bookings or no-shows. They may also take credit card details to hold the booking.

Is there Wi-Fi?

All MnK properties are equipped with free Wi-Fi Internet. In the case you need LAN Access, you can connect directly to the router (Ethernet cable not provided).

What facilities are there in the property?

All properties come with:

Are there units where smoking is allowed?

All MnK properties are strictly no-smoking.

Can I bring pets?

We cannot accept any pets in MnK properties.

Can I rent a baby cot?

Yes, you can rent a cot. Please inform our reservation staff and we will set up the cot prior to your arrival. Please note that we have a limited number of baby cots and advanced booking is required.

Can I have extra bedding in the property?

Many of the houses have a sofa-bed (please check with the reservation staff). Dependant of the property, we can supply up to two futons at an additional fee. Japanese law determines the maximum number of people allowed in each property, there may be a possibility that your full party may not be able to stay in the one property.
