5 Reasons To Visit Lupicia

1. Restaurant

Set up in 2009 and now a household name in Niseko, the tea specialist has made a name for itself as one of the region’s best restaurants utilising high quality Hokkaido local produce in tune with a philosophy of least interference with the natural ingredient to produce best results. The food influences and cooking styles vary from heavily European to Japanese and other regions– it is hard to put in a box, but it is certainly unique and delicious. Opening for the winter season on 10th December, two seatings will be available per night with a cheaper early bird family friendly seating from 5:30pm, and a later 7:30 pm seating. Reservations are now also open for special Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year meals.

2. Metalworks Gallery

While Lupicia is mainly focused on great tea and fantastic food, a metalworks gallery commissioned for local artist Masafumi Sawada offers patrons of the restaurant, deli and patisserie an alternative experience. Sawada creates energy in his lively sculptures, with much of his work juxtaposing the static nature of the metal he uses by capturing his subjects in the throngs of performance. A must see for animal and art lovers alike. Sculptures can be bought and shipped internationally.

3. Wine Cave

Below the exquisitely crafted metal sculptures, lies a wine cave. Completed in November 2016, the dimly lit space creates a relaxing atmosphere to browse a large selection of speciality wines for purchase to accompany your meal or to take home and enjoy at your leisure in your property. Open 10am until 4pm simply call Lupicia to make an appointment.
